How long is it currently taking IT contractors to secure their next contract?
I’d like to get a real picture of what contractors are experiencing in the market right now.
If you are currently looking for a contract, or recently secured one, how long did it take from starting your search to receiving a serious offer?
It would be particularly useful if you can share, without revealing anything you would rather keep private:
your IT specialism;
roughly how long you have been contracting;
how many applications/interviews you went through;
whether the eventual role was Inside or Outside IR35;
whether you had to compromise on rate, location or working arrangement.
We hear plenty of general commentary about whether the market is “good” or “bad”, but actual contractor experiences are far more useful.
