An innovative, strategic thinker, with exposure to Digital delivery, as part of HMRC’s activity to develop online VAT registration, I was selected by the Programme Director to lead the programme to determine how HMRC might develop a strategic, “Golden Customer Record”. I identified key stakeholders from across the key tax regimes to help determine the underpinning criteria that would form a strategic Customer Master Data Record. As a result, I produced a recommendations paper, outlining the approach, the costs, the governance to deliver this across HMRC and the resource required. This was presented to HMRC’s Executive Committee for approval. Innovative for its time, as culturally advanced, it was adopted as part of the future roadmap and this concept now underpins HMRC’s Digital Agenda. Outside of the public sector and during my recent work as a contractor, I have deployed my skills and developed new toolsets which have enabled me to become influential in delivering business objectives. Most recently, I have successfully worked with stakeholders at all levels to build a Finance Transformation and Procurement Operating Model which embeds best practice across Europe to reduce headcount and drive savings of up to £14M. Quickly identifying key stakeholders, I have developed an effective network which has enable me to understand existing business processes and IT infrastructure across 5 European Countries, to translate these into streamlined roles and responsibilities to support the rollout of JDEdwards ERP capability.
