Lead Data Architect and Microsoft Fabric consultant with 12+ years designing and delivering enterprise data platforms, data models and BI solutions. I specialise in building modern data platforms from the ground up - Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse, medallion architecture, OneLake, pipelines, PySpark and semantic models - and in the data workstream of large ERP migrations. Most recently I spent two years at The Institute of Cancer Research owning the data architecture and reporting through a Unit4 Agresso to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP migration, covering finance, HR, employee and student records. Before that I led Azure platform architects and cloud engineers through ASDA's IT separation from Walmart. Dimensional modelling is a core discipline for me rather than a by-product of pipeline work: declared fact grain, conformed dimensions, SCDs and documented standards that let models extend across new domains. I'm equally comfortable as the senior technical authority and hands-on in the build. Strong on stakeholder engagement up to committee level, and on data quality, governance and reconciliation through to go-live.

The Institute of Cancer Research (Aug 2024 – Jul 2026) — Lead Microsoft Fabric & Power BI Consultant. Built a Fabric Lakehouse from scratch on a medallion architecture with a Power BI semantic layer, underpinning migration from Unit4 Agresso to Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP. Owned source-to-target mapping, data quality reporting and reconciliation through to cutover. Ingested Oracle Fusion via BICC extracts, PySpark notebooks and Fabric pipelines. Integrated OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry for document extraction. Delivered Finance, HR, Research and Committee reporting. William Jackson Food Group (Jan – Jun 2025) — Migrated the D365 F&O estate from Azure Data Warehouse to Fabric Warehouse via Fabric Link for Dataverse. Built stock, work order, production variance and aged debtor reporting. Bioscript Group (Feb 2023 – Aug 2024) — First data professional in a PE-backed business. Built the Fabric platform and reporting from nothing, including multi-currency, multi-entity group consolidation from the Xero API and consolidated P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and board reporting. Bioscript later won Best Place to Work in Data at the British Data Awards 2026. ASDA / Walmart (Oct 2022 – Jul 2023) — Data Transition Lead. Led Azure platform architects, cloud engineers and analysts through ASDA's IT separation from Walmart, migrating to Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Data Factory, Databricks and Power BI. CHS Healthcare, Acacium Group (2020–22) — Greenfield BI platform sold to NHS Trusts on subscription, covering its own implementation and running costs.
