Hands-on AI / Agentic Solution Architect who designs, builds and ships production AI end-to-end in regulated financial services and insurance. I take LLM, grounded RAG and bounded tool-using (agentic) systems from discovery through build to controlled production on Azure OpenAI — Python/FastAPI services, LangGraph state machines, validated tool contracts, hybrid retrieval, evaluation and tracing behind a policy-based gateway, with human-in-the-loop on consequential decisions. Most recent (Talbot Underwriting / AIG · Lloyd's-market insurance): designed and delivered an underwriting evidence-review AI on Azure OpenAI — grounded RAG over broker documents, policy wording and structured exposure data; bounded, stateful LangGraph tool-using workflows with human approval on consequential decisions; hybrid retrieval (BM25/vector, pgvector, reranking) behind a policy-based Azure API Management gateway (PII and prompt-injection controls). Moved grounded RAG into controlled production and reduced structured-query failure by ~80% on the measured comparison, with source-traceable evidence and release-gated CI/CD (OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana; Kubernetes/Helm/Argo CD). Current (QuantumVerifi): built an internal evaluation & release-control platform for LLM/RAG/agent systems — versioned golden cases, regression thresholds and blocking CI/CD gates, aligned to NIST AI RMF (Measure) and OWASP LLM, on an AWS EKS / Terraform / GitOps platform. Earlier: 15+ years in cloud, DevSecOps and platform engineering across UK banking and insurance (Nationwide, Lloyds, Santander) and enterprise delivery (Wipro, InfoTrellis).
