Cyber Engineering Consultant

I’m looking for an experienced Product Security / Cyber Security Engineer to join a major Defence & Aerospace programme in Bristol.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work on real-world products and complex engineering systems — not traditional enterprise IT security.

What you’ll be working on:
• Product security across the full engineering lifecycle — from requirements through to in-service support
• Secure-by-Design and MOD accreditation
• Cyber security requirements and controls at system level
• Threat modelling, vulnerability analysis and risk assessments
• Security architecture and detailed system security design
• Working across software, firmware and electronic hardware
• Security of complex products including radar, electro-optics, lasers and OT

I’m particularly interested in people with:
• 3+ years’ Cyber / Product Security / Security Engineering experience
• Active SC Clearance
• Defence / Aerospace experience
• Experience with Secure by Design / MOD accreditation
• Strong understanding of cyber risk, threat modelling and vulnerability assessment
• Experience securing engineered products, embedded systems or OT, rather than purely enterprise IT
• The ability to work closely with systems and engineering teams

This is a genuinely interesting role for a Cyber Security Engineer who wants to get closer to the product, system and engineering side of security and work on major Defence programmes.
